Condoms

Latex condoms provide an effective way to prevent STIs (for example, gonorrhea and chlamydia) and HIV. They can also be used to prevent pregnancy.

Make sure to use a new condom every time you have oral, vaginal, or anal sex. Before use, check the expiration date and make sure there are no tears in the packaging.

Be sure to use water or silicone-based lubricants with latex condoms, as oil-based lubricants can cause the condom to tear (this includes oil-based products such as baby oil, lotion, and petroleum jelly). Do not use more than one condom at once.
